MDMA 1.0.0.31 Beta Testing

I did create the RAS entry and renamed it to MDMA and voila this beta works perfectly. This version now fits perfectly onto all screen resolutions with it's wider inter phase. I went through all the features and all seems to be working well.

How do I fix an 623 error : The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. (Beta 7). Will d/l the 8 version now.

What's new since 1.0.0.31 beta 5:
  • Vodafone K3805-Z (ZTE) with Icera chipset is now supported
  • Added command line switch to bypass enabling reception of Cellular Broadcast Messages (current ZTE K3805-Z firmware crashes hard!)
  • ...
I've had a report that the '/nocbm' command line switch added in beta 6 solves the same problem with the Option iCON 505 modem.

It turns out that the iCON 505 is also powered by an Icera chipset.

Hmmm. downl. the new beta.... Cant seem to get my K3805Z working with it... cant initialize the modem. any advise?

Do you have a pin on your sim. I saw that with the K3805Z MDMA will not allow your modem if you have a pin. If you have a pin, remove it and try again

Hi ginggs

Finally got my whoosh :) with a ZTE MF190 and downloaded MDMA 1.0.0.31 Beta 8. MDMA detects the MF190 no problem, connects fine, but I cannot disconnect in MDMA. Currently I have to disconnect via RAS. (I am running Win 7 32-bit).

Thanks for MDMA - it's much better than the Cell C software.

Haz

I have also found that sometimes that disconnect button does not work in MDMA. I usually just go to Network Adapters and disconnect manually there. Or close MDMA & pull out the modem.

Similar to this issue, only Huawei modems report their usage stats over the AT interface and MDMA currently uses this to determine if you are online and change the Connect button to Disconnect.

With which modem is this?

I am loving MDMA's 3G Only setting. With the Cell C (Their version of Mobile Partner) when my modem switches to EDGE then disconnects. With MDMA, i goes to EDGE, disconnects for a few seconds, then the HSPA connection comes back again with no problems!

Loving it :)

Ginggs deserves a LOT of compliments for MDMA!

MDMA doesn't pick up my ZTE MF190, it's just stuck on detecting device. Is there anything I can try? Windows 7 32bit

Try ejecting the virtual CD device, as per:
The reason why you only see the modem after opening the dashboard is that the modem only gets activated after the virtual cd is ejected. You can test this by right clicking CellC cd in my computer and clicking Eject.

I have, it doesn't work. Still just detecting..

Edit: Nevermind. I actually used the Final version and not the Beta. I just downloaded the Beta and it works. Thank you.

hi ginggs
i have tried the MDMA 1.0.0.31 Beta 8 for my option 505 modem but it can not work.
if you do not mind please make MDMA that support with my modem.thank you

where i can find 1.0.0.31 beta 5.hope it work with my modem:)
You won't, and it won't. The '/nocbm' command line switch for Icera chipset modems like the Vodafone/ZTE K3805-Z and Option iCON 505 was only introduced in beta 6.

you mean the mdma that support to option 505 only the beta6?
so where i can find the mdma beta 6 download page?

No, beta 6 and newer versions have the '/nocbm' command line switch.

You still need to add it to your MDMA shortcut, see Method 2 on this page for an example of how to do this and pay close attention to the method notes.
