Cool I'll do that tomorrow. Does MDMA update automatically while I drive or will I have to stop every now and then and click refresh?
You don't need to do it. In the other thread you wrote down 900MHz CellID (before messing up with band setting). If you can't see it now, there is there is the same problem as described by Mervyn for sure.
There is other things you can do, all others readers please ignore the following!
Write down COM port in MDMA (in device info the first field). Close connection (if open), close MDMA. Open Hyperterminal and select the same port. When main window opens press few times [ENTER] key. You might need to click on "call" icon, it should be greyed. Type
AT[ENTER] (response should be OK)
If you don't see echo on the display, type
ATE1[ENTER]
Now you can continue typing
AT+ZBANDI=0[ENTER] (response should be OK)
Verify that "0" had been selected by typing
AT+ZBANDI?[ENTER]
It should return "0 OK". Question: Does it return "0"?
Parameter "0" is the same as the first option in mdma "automatic". 1, 2, 3, 4 returns OK (as per your post).
We also need to know what is response to parameter 5 to 9. If modem response is "ERROR", try the next one. If happens that response is OK, it needs more testing. Confirm it has been selected by typing
AT+ZBANDI?[ENTER]
In my modem K3570-Z there is no need to test above 9, as the second digit is ignored, modem takes the first digit.
