Cool. I think your solar is seriously underperforming, do a test when the sun is up tomorrow, set it back to SBU, switch off the mains and loads, scroll and see how much current is your solar pushing into the battery, you should not be running out of battery with nearly 2000W of solar and the sun shining.YES AC is back and battery charging changed program 1 to Utility
Yes solar was there intermittently as there was a bit of cloud cover
just a headsup go have a look on https://powerforum.co.za/ they help a lot of people with solar power and stuff as wellOk noted thanks will do.
have a great evening
Sorry for the thread Hijack
But i just got one of these installed, does the fans constantly run mines Is connected (for now) only as a back up, still intending to get Solar panels
It's not on battery, total load is showing at 25%, fans are on but not loud like when on battery or charging (about as loud as a destktop pc)It should run loudly (at high rpm) when there is load above a certain amount on it or it is inverting/charging
Is it the Mecer or some of the other Voltronic clones? they should be off at 25% load. It's not on battery, total load is showing at 25%, fans are on but not loud like when on battery or charging (about as loud as a destktop pc)
, I have it now basically working as a ups
Just confirming if it's normal, luckily it's not in a bedroom or living room , is in my home office so kind of blends in with the ambient noise thereso not like it's in an issue for me.
Definitely Mercer not a cloneIs it the Mecer or some of the other Voltronic clones? they should be off at 25% load.
Lol I took a pic because you asked if mercer or clone and i see the charge light is onSomething else to consider would be that it could be charging the battery which might not be accounted for in the 25% load.

Were all the settings done or was it just an installation? It's definitely not supposed to be on all the time but since it's lead acid batteries the could have been needing a good charge, it should go off at some point.Definitely Mercer not a clone

had to put it a bit high up for air flow, clearance and spacing requirements so its bit difficult to see the display without a step ladder.
would it take so long though - been running since Monday afternoon - trickle charge maybe?

The solid light implies fully charged and flashing means charging iirc.
Have you done the settings or just left them on default?Just installation -
oh light is solid not flashing - Ill have to go through the manual to see but couldn't find anything referring to the fans constantly being on or off for that matter
default - so far reading the manual the only thing i can see that might help is power saving mode - the default is off - so if i turn it on, will the fans turn off unless needed - but at the same time manual doesn't really say if it will work as a UPS , i.e switch over automatically if power goes.Have you done the settings or just left them on default?
Which one is it 5kVA or 3kVA, 48V or 24V and what's the AH of the battery bank?default - so far reading the manual the only thing i can see that might help is power saving mode - the default is off - so if i turn it on, will the fans turn off unless needed - but at the same time manual doesn't really say if it will work as a UPS , i.e switch over automatically if power goes.
5KV - 48V with 4x 105AH batteriesWhich one is it 5kVA or 3kVA, 48V or 24V and what's the AH of the battery bank?
Yes, I think the power saving could, something is throwing it off because the fan are not supposed to be on all the time.
Cool, I think there were settings somewhere in this thread, it's should just be a couple modifications from the default, I will post them later.5KV - 48V with 4x 105AH batteries
