Mechanical keyboard

Def buy the XT over the corsair. I suggest you go for the brown switches though, reds are crap to type with imo.

Yes I know. coming from cooler master rapid-I brown switches and they amazing. It's just that I read up a lot about people getting new ones with bad LED's. Then They do RMA and same issue. So i'm scared of getting another Faulty model.

The cooler master Quickfire XT Chery mx brown is about R300 more than cherry mx red version.

I went with the quickfire XT brown switches

Are there any mechanical keyboards with scissor keys?

I am looking into getting a keyboard end of this month but I love the touch and feel of my Logitech K800.
The gripe I have with the K800 is that I am really peed off now with this wireless keyboard and some of the buttons don't work anymore.

So should I buy 1 now or is there a 2016 release coming soon?

I think scissor by definition mean they aren't mechanical.

I'd love it if we had more proper scissor key keyboards. Prefer them both of rubber dome and mechanical.

Miss my Razer Lycosa Mirror Editon so much, but can't live without the Logitech LCD screen.

Can I assume that when looking at K70 keyboards:
LUX - New, bigger font on keys.
RGB - Each key has a colour range of up to 16.8 million colours?
FPS - rapidfire keyboards that use MX Silent switches.

Lol, a year later and still looking...

I have the Corsair K70 RGB. You can change keys individually and whatnot. It's very extensive, but I don't have time to play too much. I got it brand new from someone who won it (paid R1500). It was to replace my Razer BlackWidow Ultimate (2014) keyboard after it wasn't working properly due to a coffee incident. My Razer is actually working again but I'm still using the Corsair. Although, I probably prefer the Razer over the Corsair. But I can't really fault the Corsair. Mind you 16.8 million colours was not entirely true and they changed the packaging later on. They did implement 16.8m colours after a firmware update, but I think people complained it flickered/was not smooth when transitioning. Whatever the issue, for me, it's a non-issue.

(I don't know about the other Corsairs...YouTube..)

I see I can get a RGB Lux for R1500. Got called by Frontosa telling me that there was some credit in my account... not sure where the hell it came from but perfect timing. :)
