Hmm...
Let's start with the help desk obvious ones first.... you did buy the wireless dongle and you do have it plugged into one of the USB slots on the side? Yes, I know stupid questions but you know they have to be asked!
Next obvious ones... you haven't forgotten your SSID and WPA key have you and are putting it in incorrectly?
The only reason I am asking these obvious ones is because I put in the SSID, the key and away I went. I have to admit to briefly reading about some issues with one of the key encryption but can't remember the firmware or encryption mentioned as it was not an issue for me. Maybe browse the acryan forums for a solution or use google.

Thanks Lance? It eventually worked, it seems I was a bit impatient with it all. Started copying series to the device and now this weekend going to copy my HD movies and my music collection. The internet radio works but such few channels not to mention the weather is not for South Africa.

I've had a mede8er since last year, went thru all the firmware updates from 1.2.2 to 3.0.4 and I love it.
Wifi is crap, I have mine permanently plugged into my network, with a static IP address, and althought the NAS is slow (I get from 4.5MBps to 7.2MBps), the cool part is that this works in the background while watching a Hidef movie! So my updating the thing every evening with new series/movies/mkv's etc. doesn't affect the kids at all (who are watching the old A-Team from '83 currently). The PIN folder protection is also brilliant, prevents the kids form accessing stuff they shouldn't.
It's the only media device in my house that even my wife can operate)
