Media Player not streaming HD content

Technicalities aside, I just think service levels like that are unacceptable and am beyond irritated by the whole situation.
I have never complained on this forum regarding service levels of any company or lodged a complaint on HelloPeter but this just pushed me over the edge!

I have read your post and your rant and would like to state that you post is totally false and misrepresenting the facts, , No one in the branch would have advised you that the unit can stream HD content especially on a entry level media player.

We would like to clarify that the AC Ryan Essential Media Player you purchased is an entry-level media player, this unit is designed to upload and view movies, photos, music etc. to view on your PC or via your Television set connected with the supplied cables.

This unit was not designed to stream HD movies via wireless and as far as we can see, nowhere on the box or user manual does nor on the suppliers website does it mentioned streaming of HD content via wireless.

We have tested the unit and it works perfectly for the purpose for which it was designed and there is no fault found on the unit.

Additionally we would also like to clarify that no matter what other brand media player you purchase, the streaming of HD content wirelessly will not work appropriately due to the low bandwidth latency by your access points and wireless dongle. We therefore suggest you purchase a media player that has a wired LAN RJ-45 and rather connect that unit to a wired connection of at least 1000mbps for HD streaming.

The AC Ryan Essential unit was never designed for that purpose as it does not have a LAN port. alternatively, you can connect the device directly through USB to view HD content.
This issue is well documented on the internet on various technical sites.

Personally I have a Mede8er and it's dongle although specce'd as n is absolutely useless for streaming HD. My relatively new TV how ever has no issue streaming HD over Wi-fi. Suffice to say the Mede8er is gathering dust and has not been used in about a year..
So it can be just much a product fault as his setup.

If I was in OP shoes I would also rant about those levels of service. Surely who ever booked in the stuff should have given him the correct CRO for the wireless adapter as well?

This just looks like multiple cock ups from the staff there.

Ok, so the case of the media player's capabilities has turned into a he said she said, Fair enough. Any reply to the poor customer service the OP received over the last two months Esquire?

Actually the staff did not tell him that the unit will stream HD content as they know that it is an entry level media player

but I suppose that mudslinging will continue regardless

I do know that it is, but many people may not be as informed. Maybe OP never asked the salesperson, I don't know and neither do you. It is he said she said.

But if your staff can't properly handle an RMA, and end up conveniently "losing" merchandise. You have bigger issues on your hands.

How on earth would you know this 100% for sure?

How on earth would you know this 100% for sure?

It doesnt matter even if they did say that. You cant purchase a beetle and expect it to do 300km/h because the sales person said it could. Thats just plain stupid. HD and wifi dont mix, PERIOD.

Regarding the levels of customer service, thats another issue

That's a BS analogy, sorry.

Because the sales person he is referring to know her products and also all staff members in every branch had training on the AC Ryan products. we have 4 different AC Ryan media Plyer products and the unit he purchased was the entry level unit

The OP should have done his own research before he purchased the unit and would have consulted the MyBB members for advice , we unfortunately do not have a buyer’s remorse policy and Mudslinging not going to help him either

We have been more than fair to offer him a full refund but decided to now retract that offer and apply our standard 25% handling fee and less that wireless dongle that is not in the box as it was never booked in

Yes i have learned my lesson that i will use wired in the future.

Question is why would i book a Media player in without the wireless adapter and complain that it cannot stream HD???

I'm not complaining bout the devices poor performance here, the problem was that i returned it within 7 days so i should of had no issue returning it and expecting a full refund.

But yet nearly 2 months down the line, the wireless adapter is now "missing" all of the sudden and i am being billed for that item and because i voiced your poor service levels on a public forum, you are now adding a 25% handling fee...

Can't help but think this is the kind of info the client should have been given when he asked the question to your salespeople. IMO no one would have bought the incorrect product given such detailed info.

With an attitude like this I'm now even more inclined to believe the customer rather than you is telling the truth.

Standard procedure with this company.

+1, I think the person behind the Esquire account should take some customer service tips from the likes of Afriman. This isn't the first time Esquire has thrown toys after they have been badmouthed (apparently legitimately) on this forum.

LOL, normal procedure for this company.

This guy just keeps going and yet people here keep buying from him.

It is a situation I don't completely understand, like they expect the results to be different for them.

Now you are being childish.
I would not expect this reaction from a national distributor.
Shame on you.
