Mega 100WR / WR2 Firmware Release ...

I would also like to know what is the difference between the 2 routers. Especially concerning wireless. I had no problems with the Mega 100WR2, 99.70.1 and my wireless card, Netgear WG311T. Now packets keep timing out a lot. Signal is 60%, which should be good enough. When I tested with my friend's Linksys, not sure which one, but it worked fine aswell. Need to know what changes were made to the wireless config between the 100WR2 and 105WR.

I still won't touch this firmware upgrade. Seems highly dodgy to me.

Well i upgraded the firmware on my Mega100WR2.. Worked a treat..Holds my line allot better..But packed that away..Got me a Netgear DG834G :D

it's best to actualy go to the 2ctelecoms website and ask them directly about your issues

Updated my router with the latest firmware. And it screwed my wireless network up. I can't change my key and although it appears to have gone to the default key (at bottom of router) none of my PCs can connect using this key. It continues to show me "some error on this page". Luckily my PCs are close enough to use ethernet connections.

I had the same problem and Gunny gave me this solution that worked:

"On the 100 you can only use hexidecimal so A-F and 0-9"

Worked for me. Let me know if it works for you

Hey Guys,

I recently did a transfer of my dsl and got a telkom modem thown in for free. I use a linksys WAG354G so I didn't need it. Its busy sitting in its box in the draw.

Is it good for anything ?

My routers WiFi is also now stuffed, no matter what I try!

I even tied disabling the security all together but nada.

Anyone done the update with a working WiFi now? And the worst part is you cannot revert back to the old one...
>:(

think the wireless key must end with a number or something. anyone having a problem with packets timing out if the connection is less van 36mbps ? mine keeps dropping packets when the connection is just okay.... shouldn't tho.

Flashed to version 4 on 100GW ... now I can create 2 pppoe connections + 1 bridge connection (all shared) .. I can connect the 2 normal connections .. but as soon as I dial a bridge connection it disconnects the other 2 ... I tried using only 1 connection + bridge .. same problem ...

A friend who has the same router now cannot connect to the internet by anything except bridge mode and a dialup conn .. we can ping external ips .. but for some reason the router cannot resolve domain names ...

Perhaps 2c should confirm whats going on .. as The support call line is permanently engaged ....

Fuming ....

Mega 100WR - Cannot forward port

Mega 100WR - Cannot forward port

This router is giving me hell..:-(

Since upgraded the Firmware to 99.70.4r I cannot create a rule to forward DCC ports.

It was working fine before I did upgrade it but afterwards new firmware cleaned all the exsiting rules for port forwarding. And now when I try to add a new rule it says

ERROR: Error found on page

and failes to create a rule for port forwarding.

Anyone has any solution to this???

same problem I'm getting, I disabled all the security and still cant connect, when I try changing the WPA key it gives me an error. We got the modem like this straight from Telkom, is there a new update to fix this ?

The WPA key on that damn router can only be in hex, unlike "normal routers". Ever since they stopped the free modem on self install special I do not recommend or install telkom routers. They are more trouble than what they are worth.

I now have the same problem. Found out Thursday evening that the wireless was not working, did still work Wednesday. I installed the latest firmware and the wireless is working. Tested it on my PC - working 110%. Tested on PC in the room next door - connects then disconnect.

I am considering another router and use the Mega 100WR2 for target practice with my 9mm pistol; just to make sure it will not give anyone else the same grief it gave me.
