If there is one thing that I remember from a young age it's my grans Sous Kleikies. I dont even know how to spell it but it was ****ing heaven. Was made out of rice as far as I know with a cinamon coating in a milkisk sauce.

Your recipe's up to sh... Just made it and it's more like Cinnamon goo, rather than dumplings. Did it exactly like you said.Souskluitjies (Dumplings in cinnamon syrup)

Never understood that word.
Melk Kos:
1 Cup Cake Flour (Or Self Raising Flour, but leave the baking powder if you use self raising).
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Sieve it together.
Take 1 table spoon butter (or margarine) and mix it together with the flour. Take some water and sprinkle it in the mixture to create small balls, like little 10 cent pieces, use your cleanly washed hands.
Cook 2L Milk in a pot on high heat, until the milk boils (don't burn it, eww). Add the flour and butter mixture to it and stir it with a whisk. If it boils, put it on a low heat (1 or 2). Stir it every few minutes until it's fairly thick, it won't be very thick, but leave it for about 30 minutes to an hour, whilst stirring every now and again (not to burn it).
Let it set a little bit in the pot after an hour and add Cinnamon and Sugar to taste.
Enjoy![]()

It was over ten years ago so it could have been. It's a sloppy white gooey stuff. (No, not that you pervert.)
