Messi vs Ronaldo

LoL - not really. just posting what seems to be a hot topic on other websites - Ronaldo's failure to perform in important matches.

Messi is still leading the goal race :D
 
Great start to the season for Messi, so far he is 13 games 10 goals 8 assists.
 
Not incredible. Phenomonal. The guy is clearly the best footballer in the world. Has been for a while now.
 
Messi is leading the race so far. It is a long one, but i dont see Ronaldo matching Messi in performance.
 
Dont think Messi will win it. He was injured for most of last season.

Although people are noticing that Messi is the best player in the world.

I cant remember him scoing 7 goals. Against what teams?

...and why do you say Ronaldo is having an ''off'' season?
 
I think it would be unfair to hand messi the Ballon'd'or as he has not won anything over the last year(does the olympics count?) while Ronaldo has won the Champions League and FA Premier League while scoring 40 odd goals.

Don't get me wrong, Messi is a better footballer imo, but Ronaldo had a better season.

maybe off season = injured at the start.
Thats my one problem with comparing players over a season. One player mite have an injury while the other player goes on to play majority of his teams games. It's what happened last season but this season the tables are turned. Provided Messi can stay fit.
 
yip ronaldo is commin back slowly but surely from injury, n yip he has about 7 goals, 6 in premier league i think, dont count him out yet :)
 
Lets get it straight, the guy was not injured he had an "planned" operation 6 months ago, its far worse for a player to get injured and then need surgery to rectify it.
He could have gone another season with the "injury" he had and played most of last season with it.


As previously stated the manure fans are waiting for that big game to say now his fully recovered, in the mean time while his crap they say its because his injured.

All of them are waiting for him to have a good game to say now he is back, until that happens - he will still be ''recovering''.
