Metro 2033 scary?

I don't get how people can claim DOOM 3 was so damn scary for them. It's simply dark with monsters rushing at you, really. Plus you are armed to the teeth. It's like playing AvP as marine, shock scares yeah, but not very "omg I can't go on!" type scary.

Metro 2033 helps me sleep at night. Nice cozy tunnels to explore in before I go to bed :)

id have to say doom 3 was the scariest of the lot. finished all the resident evil's for ps2 and pc, almost all the silent hill's but doom 3 is kind of hectic. Metro 2033 does a good job and i enjoyed it very much , reminded me of stalker games but just a little more fast paced and pretty ;)

Yeah.. doom 3.. was scary. but like I said, Haven't really played it after the first part lol

But it's scary because you can't see.. and you know you're been attacked..

Well some are just afraid of being in the dark when things starts to attack you hey..

Woa, that's weird lol.. I would NEVER want to play metro before going to sleep.. It'll give me an adrenaline rush.. ie no sleep.. :(

fallout new vegas can be scary if you try fight enemies with the wrong weapons , best is fighting the zombies with melee weapons and then they explode because they dont have armor and if you have that exploding body parts perk ... more hilarious than scary , im not afraid at all when i have to fight 7 zombies at a time because i know they will come second.

I see.. so you it still can be scary.. Cause I watched someone play.. and it was like Metro 2033.. Like the setup.. But I alone saw a little.. so I may be wrong.. :)

Kinda, lets just say you don't want to fight against a deathclaw in new vegas unless you have a fatman or a rocket launcher.i swear those things cut you up so fast.i found out the hunting rifle with armor piercing ammo works great against deathclaws.just be sure to switch to normal ammo when ur done blastign their armor to bits.

Ok.. mm.. I didn't really udnerstand, but assuming that it's one of the monstars in the game.. :)

I just want to ask another thing, In fallout 3... Does it link to New Vegas? Because I can't seem to get Fallout 3 working on my computer..

That's the other thing, getting Fallout 3 working on my computer..

I tried things that people said that will fix the problem in Fallout 3, but none of them worked..

like the main one that I tried was that one with the FFPS or something like that.. the codec.. Well I dont' have that, so I dont' know how it could be the problem..

SO if anyone can help, it will be great as well ^ ^

Actually fallout:new vegas is very much alike to fallout3.if fallout 3 doesn't work on your pc then fallout:new vegas won't either.

Funny thing is I love scary MOVIES but I can't do scary games. There were times in Area 51 I had to pause the game, calm down, psych myself up, then kill that thing making noises in my headphones.
So Area 51 was my last scary game.

I guess it comes down to whether you are used to facing monsters/aliens/ghosts/demons or whatever. And by avoiding games with these themes it gets harder and harder for you to play them as they get more and more immersive (not a word) and "real" over the years. So if you stopped playing Far Cry or Half-Life 2 because they started throwing weird enemies at you and then skipped to 2010's level of those types of games you are gonna find it difficult to adjust.

I think i know what you mean.. Ok never played far cry, but played a little of the second one, but there isn't really anything scary about it. maybe it's a different story then lol..

anyway.. I have played a little bits of scary games lol

Manhunt

Lots of WTF in that one. Little old by now though...

EDIT: Note- it's hit #2 in Google. :p

One of the best shots alone, I have played in recent years. The shooting is great, the story is well presented, the pace is excellent, and it's actually quite difficult. Additionally, the game presents it's universe exceptionally well. The atmosphere at the stations is particularly strong, you feel like you are in a place where people live, but their ability to interact with the world itself is quite limited.
