I have started a thread about singularity... whether that was scary or not..

Um.. I just want to know if Metro 2033 is like Bioshock 1 & 1, singularity and Left for dead type

or is it like dear and silent hill or doom 3

Cause I can still play biochock and the others, but fear, doom and silent hill is just too much

So if someone could just fit the game using the above as reference, that would be great..

And I know some people don't find any of the above games scary.. but some do.. Like myself..

Thanks

Doom was only scary because of the monster attacking you in darkness, and then you only see their faces ;). Also, Doom 3 mind farked you because it went from sci-fi monsters in the closet, to holy shyte you're in hell... It's on my top list of games I'll never play late at night without the lights on :p.

Meh, Fear used a different ploy, where they just added music to create tension, and used 'classic' movie techniques. The story was a lil mature, the scares were more mature too, but it wasn't that bad as a whole. Silent hill was another mind fark game, but that was more anticipated fear, like you don't wanna open the door because of what will happen.

Metro was a little more of a L4D scare, not really that shoot 10 clips into a room because you've been attacked, and closed your eyes, that doom gives. Nor that F.E.A.R scare where suddenly something happens, and then you scared for the rest of the level. Nor that silent hill fear where you just don't want to continue playing :p. So honestly, you'll be jut fine :)

I see.. awesome!

I am looking for like the L4D scary, like every now and then there would be this freak behind you to hit you and stuff, but not too much pop-up in the middle of no where.. lol..

Thanks for all the details... I rate I'll be playing it..

You people are such tanqs. I can't even play Bioshock 1 :(

Doom 3 and F.E.A.R now that was scary, havent played the other games yet and from the sounds of what you guys are saying, maybe I must stick to 'Plants vs Zombies' :)

Bioshock was scary.. stopped on the first mission, but want to try it again lol since people say that Bioshock is like singularity.. which was scary, but not too scary.. Ie, still play-able :P

Yeah, I knew there is always people that don't find any games scary..

plant vs zombie.. good one.. :P (That was a nice game though.. very addictive.. :) )

Metro 2033 was far from scary. The creatures were more of an annoyance than anything else. Silent Hill is the only game that really "scares" me.

Just a quick Q, why don't you install it and decide for yourself? You would have wasted 20mins on installation and might be surprised at how good the game actually is and not go on "word of mouth".

FEAR was scary.... I hate that little girl ghost appearing in front of you and blood dripping down the walls ... It was worse in FEAR 2 which I decided to stop playing.

Well I really don't want to scary myself, because I installed Doom 3. and dam I was scared.. never again will I install a game without asking how scary the game was.. :(

WOW wait until you have played Need for speed: Hot pursuit. Getting chased by the cops now that is scary

I seem to have missed Doom 3 somehow :o

Enjoyed Singularity and Metro. Haven't played Silent Hill yet. Will give Doom3 a shot first, warm up for the best heh??

FEAR was cool. Bit too much Run n Gun though.

I found some bits of STALKER pretty cool too :)

EDIT: Doom 3 is from 2004  I just forgot about it. Thought there was a new Doom due??

You don't understand. I can't even finish some Oblivion cave-raids in one sitting.
