Metro shooting at SAPS?

don't these stupid phukkers realise what an impact they have on the reputation of our country from an international perspective
No they don't because they don't care about anything except themselves.

I hate Metro Police and for a good reason- good-for-nothing useless greedy corrupt little lice is what they are. All they care about is money and making lots of it by lowering speed limits without notice and sitting behind their radar cameras. That, and harassing motorists who've done nothing wrong whist taxi drivers get away with murder.

Just a quick bit of info

These lazy useless ********* earn more than the SAPS

Well, the ****ing ****s are blocking highways into and out of the CBD now - or so I hear.

:D hehehehe

Seriously though, ole Wayne is probably hiding somewhere on the West Rand behind a speed camera safely away in the bushes catching people who cannot slow down fast enough to a ridiculous 60km/h on a downhill, a stretch of road that had a speed limit of 80km/h for 20 years prior

There is a big difference between firing rubber bullets and live ammunition.

Using live ammunition shows intent to kill, whereas rubber rounds are generally non lethal, If properly used the person on the receiving in will have painful welts from the impact, but they will still be breathing.

I beg to differ, just for the knowledge of the rest here, rubber bullets are not the size of a 9mm round, there are the size of a bog "D" cell battery and are harder than steel. They are made from a type of solid reinforced rubber and should be fired only by bouncing from the ground into the crowd, you are not supposed to fire directly at the suspects as you CAN kill them.

Probably, its what they do best. :D

Sounds painful.

This is totally crazy....the very people that are meant to be protecting us are turning against each other........this is not a good thing at all.

Hi Marine1

You are partially correct, that was a 40mm rubber bullet that was launched from a 40mm grenade launcher and you did have to fire it into the ground. I met a young black boy years ago a scout camp, he was very proud of his battle scar. He proudly told us that he had been throwing stones at the police and a policeman had shot him in the leg without bouncing it.

Those have been phased out in favour of the shotgun rubber bullet, it fire two solid round rubber balls from a shotgun cartridge. While capable of inflicting pain, they do not have the power to penetrate the body. I have seen it used many times and most times the people just hobble away with no permanent injury.

I got pulled over yesterday for speeding into JHB from Soweto's side. They guy asked me why I was driving so fast. I replied that it was because the Metro cops are causing crap again, and I want to get through the area as quick as possible. He tried for a bribe REAL hard... I proceeded to tell him to write cause, as I said, I want to get through the area asap and then made a call while he was writing. Him being pissed at this gave me a R500 fine... So there was ONE working yesterday to earn his keep (bribing)... bastar d s
