Metro shooting at SAPS?

A similar sort of thing happened in Cape Town last year. There are still court cases pending, The sad thing is they were suspended but can not be fired outright. They went against everything they swore to uphold and they are suing the city.......

I'm scared of a Civil War in this country ... first the Xenophobix attacks, now JMPD shooting at SAPS ... I don't even want to know what next ... and people wonder why so many other people want to flee this country??

By the way ... clever sig ;) dig the "10" part :P ... but shouldn't you write it in bits of 8 :p

OMG. That is rather scary. I'm glad they had the decency not to return fire with live rounds....that would have resulted in a full-blown war. Plus this way they can pile the blame on the metro guys.

Actually they should've probably returned fire with live rounds, seems like we'd all be better off with a few less metro police around.

Did anyone hear that guy from Metro on the radio (702) ? He said "my bruthah" basically he warned them (saps) he would shoot back wwith live ammo. Freaking bunch of animals

The SAPS did not return fire, since it would have endangered the civilians caught up in this mess.

The need to bring in the Takie snipers, first ******* metro cop to fire live rounds gets removed from society permanently.

They should string up these scum.

Not to derail this thread but the ANC seems to be reaping what they sowed, they taught their people that violence was an acceptable way to solve your problems and the people are only doing what they were taught.

So if the SAPS did not return fire how did metro cops get injured? I am totally on the side of the SAPS here but they DID fire back, yes maybe with rubber but that is still firing back.

Agreed, I must say you never see the SAPS cops doing stuff like this, always the metro ones. Shows who the true professionals are.

I recon shoot the JMPD pigs. The less speed cops to bribe the better. They NEVER do anything positive as far as I can remember. Even Outsurance has taken over, cause they were not doing their job

There is a big difference between firing rubber bullets and live ammunition.

Using live ammunition shows intent to kill, whereas rubber rounds are generally non lethal, If properly used the person on the receiving in will have painful welts from the impact, but they will still be breathing.

Protests that purposefully disrupt the average citizen's work should be put down immediately and anyone participating in such should be arrested, tried for treason and thrown in jail for life.

"Friendly fire" ?

fsking metro morons seem to have blocked off nelson mandela and queen elizabeth bridges into jozi cbd. :(
nothing in the news yet, but just got a call from some people from one of our other offices coming in for a meeting who were turned away by the malakas
:( :(

@rseholes !!!

There was an intervue with one of the wekkas this morning on 702. He was asked if they shouldn't be doing their jobs and he replied that they were starving. I don't know about you but a skinny traffic cop is not something that you see every day.

He also complained that the guys in Ekurheleni get paid more. So what? They probably have to work more - you know, late night calls to come and cover-up something else that bomber magoo crashed into.

He did say they wouldn't shoot at the SAPS. I think he just realised who has got more guns.

There was anoth complaint that a new entrant earned the same as someone who had been there for 15 years. If the job is the same the pay should be the same. And, if in 15 years you haven't had a promotion then maybe it is time to think about doing a job where you might be competent.

Anyway, R8000 a month is a lot to pay anyone to harrass women in the suburbs, block the traffic during rush hour, and to accept bribes.
