We are getting complaints of slow speed and high latency in Centurion and surrounding areas. I logged a ticket with MFN to confirm.
I think they use different contractors (mafia's) in different areas. There is no issue with the street work in my area. Did you report the issues to MFN?You know, I think my only real problem with MFN is the quality of the construction patchwork after laying infrastructure.
The local "business forum" they were forced to use to do construction in our area was absolute garbage. After a year and a half, pavements are getting large breaks and cracking, water seeping in causing further issues, cement eroding around the termination box on the pavement. I've basically had to mix concrete myself and go fix the fckin pavement outside my place.
The reason it's an issue is that in our area they had to put the lines really close to the boundary walls, so any water seeping in will eventually wash the sand away under the concrete and cause issues with the walls.
Yes, this same mafia was originally the issue for holding up fibre construction in our area for a year. At least that's what the MFN supervisor oke told me. Pretty sure Cool Ideas has an issue with Metro, idk if that has been fixed yet, also your IP is in the screenshotsDon't hold your breath on this getting sorted, been like this for me since 1st March. Metrofibre is useless.. unfortunately no other options for me...

The only thing they have to say is that my Hardware and pc don't support 1Gbps, however i was on 1Gbps before and used to be perfect..

1st they said it’s the same outage now nothing.. just get that same message since 10am, we have been off since 09h45 this morning. Call Centre says no updates from Techs.. 11pm a Tech called to ask what the ONT lights show.. it seems they’re support is just as bad as Eskom… or they have no clue what is going on on the network
Anything about Port Elizabeth areas?
