Which ISP are you using on the MFN Network?

My speeds are jumping between 100 and 50 download. Haven't reset the router yet. Will do this.
Reset the router or reboot it?

Are you sure it is not a wi-fi issue causing the speed to fluctuate?

It's either in the range of 50mbps or 100mbps. Doesn't fluctuate between the two speeds. But will confirm when i do a reset this afternoon

Anyone else having high latency during peak times?
Really not good for for gaming having 150ms ping times.
Started on 27th April.
I think MFN "fixed" a fault in our area by moving another street onto our GPON POS (passive optical splitter)
This is on MWEB+MetroFibre.

I have logged a call with MWEB - still waiting for feedback.

EDIT1: AFAIK, this issue is NOT related to the speed upgrades.
Seems to be caused by a repair in my suburb conducted ~26 April.

EDIT2: 4 May 2022 19:11pm
Good news, seems the ping/latency during peak issue has been resolved:

@Level7 - will you be applying these speed increases for your existing customers?
They probably will.
I'm assuming that they still have a bunch of things to sort out before doing it since they haven't even update the pricing on the website.

Here's a screenshot of the pricelist they gave me on whatsapp if you were wondering what their prices were.

Still not upgraded here (PTA North). AH Client portal still shows old speed. Guess it will happen soon. Email did say in May not 1st of May.
But anyways, I can't wait for it to be upgraded. Excited ! :)

Our Dev team is busy pushing the changes through.

Please allow 2-4 hours for all the clients to be migrated to the new packages. We have also added the new speeds to the website for new clients signing up.

Is MFN doing these upgrades per ISP?
What I mean by that it is, are they doing the upgrades one ISP at a time?
I thought they were doing it by geographical areas, but now that I think about it it makes sense to co-ordinate with ISPs.

There are 2 stages to these upgrades.

From Metro side and changes Afrihost make.

From what I can see is that Metro completed the changes for our clients on the portals last night. I'm not sure if they do it on a per ISP basis or whether they do it per speed profile or location based. That said everyone looks like they are now upgraded.

We completed the changes on our side today. Might be some issues here and there which we will deal with on a case by case basis but all looks good.

There seems to be an issue with the 1Gbps profile but working on that with MetroFibre.

You going to manually upgrade instead of waiting to be auto upgraded?
No, what I mean is the AH ClientZone portal used to show 200/200 and now shows 500/500. So when I get home I'm going to do speed tests.

Now that I have done those tests, unfortunately my speed tests still shows 197/195 which is roughly what it was. Not sure if the upgrade was fully completed. @AfriNatic ?

Please drop me a pm with your email address so I can have a look for you?

Rebooted my ONT a few mins ago and my line has yet to be upgraded to 200Mbps. With Afrihost also.
