I mentioned how often MickeyD spoke about his MAC.

I still have the last message that he sent to me and was just reading it...

In case Mac reads this , I want to quote a few lines of his message:

Came home last week and my wife is nursing me... brilliantly. I am a lucky man!

She is really my rock and life partner.

Mac, you meant the world to him......

It is with great sadness that we share with you that MickeyD (Lawrence Muller) has passed away.

He was a core part of the MyBroadband community, and everyone who met him agreed that he was an awesome person.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Knew he was ill, better, ill... Better and so on but hell he still had many years he could have lived!!!!


To Mac and McD jnr and Mac jnr. My thoughts are with you all.

Stay strong. Many if not most of the posters on Mybb are there with you in heart and in thought.

I never met this man in person, but was one of the first people I interacted with on this here forum when I joined.....

The Tales of MAC, The braai chapel and the Settler Country. The posting of the Sports Schedule........

It was on my bucket list to get to that Braai chapel sometime and cremate iets with Mr.D.

The mist is swirling on this part of the Namib Desert, but rest assured, I will ignite a fire for the old man and raise a glass in the general direction of PE>>>>>>

Condolences to the family....... Mac in particular..... ( I recall on a few threads how he mentioned her and was always in love!)

I've never met him.

I have spoken to him on the phone. Only spoke to him a few times. He was on mybb as he was in real life.

Just remembered I sold him one of my old laptops the other day, what a trusting, pleasant soul.I use to often joke about his age and his slipping mental agility and wisdom of age would put me right back in my place, it's not often you have some one on the forum you can banter with on the lighter side of things and be dead serious and reprimand in the same sentence, and still be friends afterwords.
