Microsoft haters and XBox

Just wanted to through out a random thought to all Xbox owners - how many of you despise Microsoft and Windows and refuse to buy it or use it - that is you use Linux because Microsoft is the devil and so on - but yet still went out and bought an XBox.

I have an iMac with a MS mouse (Apple make crap ones) also have XP on it.
Also have an xbox I haven't used in a year now.

I don't hate MS, just don't like Vista at all.

Companies like Apple and Sony are not any better than Microsoft. I don't like any of them. Only in some cases will I not use a company's product.

You know what? I am a PC fanboy, I jump between Xbox and PS3.... Wii sucks, MAcs is cool, Iphone sucks, HTC is better, but I would buy a blackberry

I like Microsoft, Windows 7, Zune, all the development stuff....i am however rapidly starting to dislike my semi broken Xbox.

Why?

1. Crap hardware quality...
2. No Xbox Live support

Now, #1 we've all lived with based on alot of excuses like "it is cheaper" , but the PS3 is now finally right up there in price.

#2, does not seem to be a Microsoft Global thing, but rather Microsoft SA .

I'm tired of jumping through loopholes because i'm in south africa [like faking your nationality and buying imported Live subs and losing out on game content]. Sony [as much as i grown to dislike them] , at least are HERE in SA, their Live equivalent [PSN] might be slightly inferior, but it is FREE -and- *drumroll*, SUPPORTED here.

So as the previous poster said, i love things that WORK. Xbox in South Africa is simply not working for me, Windows 7 is though. At least i can use that without feeling shafted.


Besides, if you think about it, who the hell came up with the idea that i need to pay 'n subscription to play 1 on 1 multiplayer on a game i PAID for in full? . I can understand paying for demos,videos,music and downloadable content and games...but for the "priviledge" to play multiplayer i need to have Gold sub? Huh? The game is freaking expensive and overpriced [in SA especially] already!

Why buy, or not buy, something because of a brand name? That's just stupid. Buy something cause you like it.

I have a Xbox 360 & Wii.
I have a Apple iPhone & HTC pda with Windows Mobile.
I used to have a PS2 & PSP.

All competing companies / software, doesn't mean if you like the one, you can't like the other as well.
