Microsoft kills Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10

Now they must just end support for 11 as well.

Surely if they can't get something right after 11 attempts they should realise it's time to call it a day!?

What version is Chrome on now? 45...? When will Chrome get its own proxy server change screen? 45 attempts and still no success...

There is nothing wrong with IE! It works!
So there is no logical and justifiable reason for anyone to attack it and those that use it.
Under windows 10, IF you want to stick with a MS product, then the choice at the moment is IE 11 (for use on websites that require the use of extensions and add ons) and MS Edge, which does not support extensions and add ons.

I unfortunately am stuck in one such corporation. And said corporation has systems which automatically enforce group policy which remove alt browsers from PCs on a daily basis :(

:D So there are people who install other browsers every day?

You can't be a developer...

There is this concept called "standards" - something IE has never been good at following.

More seriously though - Now that the IE6 monster seems to be dead (or is it?) is there still a risk that a company's internal systems can become outdated if they are forced to use a new IE version. Or is IE more std. compliant now?

I was one such and have since given up after being politely reminded on enquiry that the browser whose removal I was complaining about isn't approved for use on company PCs.

Check out this link and then justify your statement about standards adherence.

Have you not read the MyBB manual? IE bashing is a requirement for membership!

Ah ha! Are you sure it is not more about members having to bash something everyday?
