Wow, was going to get, but then... I realized, I am using Linux... wow, silly me....
You may want to take a look at Avira, they've got a Linux version I believe.

Of course, if you enable it it protects you in real time, check everything you do and verify every link and incoming data. Its not the resources it's the slow hardware.
Microsoft watching my every move... why does that make me uncomfortable?
As opposed to, say, AVG?
I suppose... but the potential for Microsoft to be looking over my shoulder when they supply the os, the office suite, the firewall and the anti virus for my pc are alot higher than one single company, supplying a single component.
Looking over your shoulder at what?
aren't you? aren't we all? Every day we give a little of our privacy away for the sake of convenience..

Using MSE as well here.
The commercial version of MSE is Microsoft Forefront Client. This will also run on Server 2003, but is a mission to install.
The Forefront Server is another nightmare to install. I'm playing around with it, but am not impressed.
But I am most impressed with MSE - it works, does the job well, and is not in your face most of the time.
Still working fine for me here. I'll stick with it.
I don't want a security package that is going to slow my system down and take over my PC.
