You better let everyone know then... they are all referring to this as the Surface RT... all except Ms perhaps.

Steep. What happened to the $299 price point initially suggested. A bit much to pre-order for something completely new without any idea of OS usability or performance. I'll wait for a couple reviews first.
 
Patiently waiting for a proper laptop replacement. Now if only M$ would hurry the **** up.
 
I was really hoping the pricing would be a little keener, as it would be an extremely handy tool for my work. Maybe the company would consider subsidising it :)
 
When are windows 8 phones dropping? My vodacom upgrade is ready, i have a choice between BB, iphone and what else using windows 8?

Really can't afford to waste this upgrade on the iphone when windows 8 is better.
 
It's difficult to switch platforms once you have already started investing in paid apps for either iOS/Android

+1 and at that price point is not incentive enough to buy. I'll check our reviews first... what is the "pro" version going to cost then?

If only they could have a Free app of the day system like Amazon and iOS so you can start building up a collection...
