Microwave interfering with my wifi

Uhm...

Whenever someone uses the microwave in my house, it seems to break the internet. I am assuming it is interfering with the wifi signal, maybe its on the same freq?
This only started when I installed a new router, other one was very old.

Any suggestions?

That happened with my wifi extender a few years ago.

I have a new microwave now but I'm not using the extender so can't say if it was linked.

A quick Google search shows that this is indeed plausible.

If your old router is still working, check which channel it was operating on, and set the new router to the same channel. Or your old router was operating at 5 GHz. Definitely interference from the microwave.

Wasn't possible in my case. Just reset the damn thing.

Plausible? 100% possible.

I had the same problem. I put in a cable and it resolved the problem.
