Mifi device questions

Lucky buggers still patience to wait for my device to be delivered even though it will be next month. Great birthday gift:)

Clientzone - dashboard says Afrihost-Mobile-e02c(SSID) , might change once I get the device.

Will play with the device once I receive it and see if I can play with it and see what security is optimal.

To those who received their MiFi devices from Afrihost can you see if on the clientzone(dashboard) if it shows how many devices are connected, names, mac address etc.

I could force mine to 3G but now it is blanked out stuck on 3G cant go back to 2G, will have to reset if i want that option again (I think)

Weird i reset my device, now it is on auto blanket out. I can not choose 2G or 3G

You have to disconnect the connection for the option to select 2G or 3 G to be available.

From those who have their devices, does the mifi have a port to connect an external antenna?

Well it depends, if I force mine to 3G here I end up with No Coverage.

Internal only.

Internal only.

Mine shows, No coverage, connected and I can achieve at times better speed than my 4M Mweb premium ADSL uncapped account

I must make sure of that ... had two of them going through my hands and saw a glistering gold port on the back eying me ...

Had a good look at mine, cant see any external connectors...

The 5332 is the one with external antennae not the 5331 like we got but the 5331 have that connection which could be used.
