Mike's (non-Sunsynk) System

If I manage to expand the system in a year perhaps, would adding a further inverter increase the total pass-through accordingly? Would it have to be an identical one or could you mix n match, say 8+5 or 8+10?

Sunsynk do have a 16KW single phase unit now, which is interesting.

Hmmm ... the 16kW 1P Sunsynk is less than the cost of two parallel 8kW units.
That makes the decision even harder now.

i.e. Buy one 8kW unit now and then parallel later (sync complexities) or bite the bullet and fork out for a 16kW unit up front.

The smart is the generator input which can be used for a smart output.

The CT ,from my understanding, should show just before the grid line

Does it show on the Deye as well? I know it does on the Sunsynk

And if the max simultaneous through-put of one 8kw is 50A, does that mean if you have 2 of them, the max throughput simply increases to 100A or is that not how it works?

Bit of a waste but you can put the output of a 5kw sunsynk on the aux of the 8kw. Cheaper to use a cheaper grid tied inverter for this.

Yeah the smart was there even before the CT. No idea why it was wired that way but it doesn't bother me as long as everything is working fine.

Tested the CT with oven and geyser and it works as expected...

Yes. But your municipal link will most likely be limited to 63A, so there's that
 
From my understanding it does.

I wasn't getting it when mine was installed.
Been through the manual now and can't seem to find anything where it shows the CT on the flow diagram.

But if you tap the grid icon on the flow diagram, you should be able to see the current load, CT load etc. Last block on the diagram below...

One thing I do like about the sunsynk vs the deye is the modern UI of the sunsynk.

The system flow chart gives a quick overview of exactly what the system is doing. 20220504_075513.jpg
 
I think they could even flash the sunsynk software on the deye.

I've seen a pic of a sunsynk inverter with the deye software and they flashed it remotely so it had the sunsynk software.
