Mini UPS for Internet

Our Netogy 100W UPS is currently on special:

R999 is a bargain price.
will I be able to use it to power my bedside fan, for when eskom shuts down the power at 2am and I wake up in a pool of sweat.

Im still dumb with this kind of stuff. I see it says DC ups, does that mean that it doesn't have its own build in inverter?

Get a DC USB fan.

And no, you cannot power any AC devices (i.e. no inverter)

Clicks have these ... we use it during loadshedding, on our bed sidetables. It also folds, so it can stand (converted from handheld). You can plug it into a normal powerbank as well

Is there maybe a multi plug type of device that I can use for that battery to power the wifi and fibre as well?

Another question regarding the battery: I see that it is an EFB battery - what is the difference in reusability between this and a Lithium Ion battery with regards to the wear and tear it takes from charging. I see people on takealot complaining about their UPS's performance dropping considerably during only a year, due to it being lead acid batteries,

Hi guys hoping someone with some more tech smarts than me can assist!

I am looking at the following item on Takealot

Eaton 3S Mini UPS.

So I have fiber at home, and that means 2 devices - The Fiber router (12V) and the WiFi router (9V)

Does this mean I need one Mini UPS per device?
Assuming it has sufficient battery power, is there a way I could use 1 Mini UPS to power both devices?

Thanks in advance guys!
I bought this in October. It was recommended on this forum. This powers the router. I have something from geewiz for Fibre ONT device. Lasted when we had 4 hour. It is best to buy 2-3 in any case. No matter which model you buy under 1000 rands, they will all have issues in 2 years time. Issues = will barely last 2 hours for one device.

Exactly the reason I went for the one I took. When battery dies I have plenty 18650s to replace it with.

No. Unless you have a 12 or 19v DC fan.

The best option I have seen is the Xiaomi Smart Standing Fan 2 Pro but at around R2500 its not cheap. Its great though because you never need to worry about charging it or switching it on when the power fails. It just continues to work when the power goes out and it charges it self when the power comes back on.

I want one of those Xiaomi's !!

That works out to R2279 and it is not even close to as nice of a solution as the brush-less DC Xiaomi Smart Standing Fan 2 Pro which I bought for R2400 back in August (was thinking ahead :P)

More stock is expected by mid December according to Syntech.

Where did you get it from. Google leads me to places where there are no stock.
No one has stock left. I bought mine in August. Syntech said that the ETA is around mid December for more stock. https://www.syntech.co.za/product/xiaomi-smart-standing-fan-2-pro/

Second best option is probably this: https://www.takealot.com/meaco-fan-260c-cordless-air-circulator-with-a-light/PLID72992748 If I did not have 5 rechargable fans already, I probably would have bought this one as well :P

Thanks everyone for the expert advice - The Gizzus look great but quite pricey though. I have found this one on Takealot, think someone above has referenced it as well

Looks like this will power 9V and 12V devices, and the reviews are decent enough - any last minute suggestions?

My colleage got this from GeeWiz and he gets 6 hours with same setup, 9V and 12V devices

PS Thanx for this.

Got mine today, already did a short test and works great, can even charge my phone if I ever wanted to.

Sidenote: Can also power a Raspberry PI.

Suspect most of the complaints are from people that dont check +/- pin settings on devices:

The Unit is Center Positive.
Can you explain exactly what you mean by this?
