Does anyone have experience with miphones.co.za? Is it safe to order from them?

I enquired on the other thread, and what was pointed is that they merely act as a middle man in importing the goods for you, their prices are therefore generally higher than if you had to order from gearbest

It's call drop shipping. These type of companies rank on the lower rungs with those guys who sell bulk TP outside Makro.

These guys don't appear to be drop shippers though. Most of them would make mention that you are liable for any duty due, but found nothing about that in their T&C's. I did find that they have a 30% refund handling fee and a 40 business day turn around on repairs if it is sent back to China to repair. It didn't specifically say that you would send it back to manufacturer, but said you had to contact them first.

Don't know how they operate around the CPA while providing a service within SA borders, unless they are actually offshore.

Their service is superb! Ordered Sunday arrived today. That's 2 days later with R50 shipping and the case an screen protector are top notch can definitely recommend. It's actually thanks to this thread that I bought from them.. Almost didn't...

They have Mi Max 2 for R 6300
Mi Mix 2 for R 12000
Hmmm. That's quite pricey for both of them. Xiaomi were always so great because they were so cheap compared to the Apples and Samsungs of the world. This MI Max 1 of mine was a only R4300 a few months ago.

As they get more popular, especially the international market they will make it more expensive.

Do the phones come with local warranty and returns?
This is on their website.

"Miphones act and offer a service whereby we import on your behalf the specific device listing(s) you have requested and fulfill delivery to your door.

Miphones uses only our Registered Xiaomi Authorized Partner Suppliers.

MiPhones are a Registered XiaoYi Authorized Partner/Distributor"

Returns: "Any device returned to us can take up to 40 Business Days to have fixed if the device needs to sent back to Xiaomi. (China)

It would be returned to the Manufacturer under their warranty and either fixed or replaced. The time it takes with shipping is inclusive but not defined."

From the above statement you will get Chinese warranty since the has to be sent to China

I see. Then I'll just continue to buy directly from China.

Just remember that they a normal reseller and not MIAfrica which is the agent for Xiaomi. Phones will be much cheaper from MIAfrica.

Well, I've just checked both websites. mia.africa.com/za a Redmi Note 4 32GB is R3499.00 and on Miphones.co.za it's R3399.00...

I bought a Note 6 Pro from them, delivery was within two days. I did check prices with mia.africa.com/za and they didn't even list the phone at that stage.
really so i have your guarantee that they're legit i really want a cheap good quality phone
but to avoid being screwed over I'd rather just go with south Africa's crappy midrange offerings
