Can someone answer me this, what’s the point of trying so hard to take down MTI? Going through all this trouble. Why not let them be? Users on Mybb know it’s a scam. Let MTI scam the idiots who don’t want to listen. It’s their problem. Let them lose everything. I have no sympathy for them if after all the evidence they still choose to stick with them.

For some of us, it's personal.

They seem to have ensnared people that we know and care about, and we'd prefer to prevent them as much as possible from getting more unsuspecting victims.
 
If it’s personal then fair enough, I can understand that. But I also think that if people you care about don’t want to listen to reason then it’s hopeless for them. Even if MTI goes down the people you care about will still lose money and be complicit in the scam (I would imagine).
 

I was surprised to see their office actually open and someone to assist with a walk in client without a scheduled booking.

Not only personal its places like MTI that can ruin the cryptospace in SA

I can't speak for others. In my case, they're pretty much going to lose money.

But if MTI goes down sooner rather than later, that may prevent someone else's grandma from losing her pension.

For the same reason I might try to help someone who keeps getting stuck back in an abusive relationship, or someone with a crippling drug addiction, or some who self-harms......because it's the morally right thing to do.
Yes, it's a lot of effort, but it's no trouble because it's not something I expect to get rewarded for. We're a social species - helping each other is what allowed us to get to the top. And even if after all the effort, you could only help a single person, that's enough for me.
And even though I'd never expect anyone to help me, I'd hope that if I was being blindsided that someone would at least try.

Some of us don't want to be bystanders and watch the car crash, we want to help where we can.
In this scenario, by exposing information, we can do a little to help save a few some heartache.

Well in that case, have at it :) I was just curious. I suppose I would do the same if it was a family member of mine caught up in the scam.

As posts grow and MTI becomes (slightly) more professional and people whom one warns simply scorn you, I am having the same feelings. Certainly my sympathy has evaporated for the new members flocking in and becoming cultists within a short time. However, it is worth continuing to work to bring MTI down and the more spectacularly and with the most widespread financial pain the better for society in general, Wherever you look on the internet, scams are bursting up like mushrooms in cowshit. It seem that the only way to teach many people is through personally experienced pain. Hopefully we can turn MTI into this genuinely educational tool.
