If you get SPAM (unsolicited) in the form of an MMS and you don't download it, why does it keep coming back? Is there a receipt going back to the server telling the originator whether I read it or not.

If you don't download a MMS, the network will send you notification a number of times. I suspect it's this you're seeing. It should however stop at some point, or you can just download the MMS and delete it (you don't pay for this).

Vodacom does not have MMS settings for my phone, so I just delete the notice every time it arrives

How many times do they send these before
they realise you aren't going to download.

They can tell if you have an MMS phone I
thought..
