About 15-20%

Thanks
At 20%
Ups will consume about 40ah from battery excluding losses
Lets say need to put 40ah back
That will be about 3 hours at 14 amps
When full both chargers will go to sleep and tricle charge at about 27.6v

Internal charger is 10 Amps, but not sure if it switches off automatically.
External charger is 12amp 3 stage charger and I does switch off when fully charged.
Need to find out if internal charger does trickle when the batteries are fully charged.
So if I run both, it should charge 22amps.
I think there is also a setting on the external charger to charge longer then usual, not sure

Can you meusure the charge current of ups .
Think of investing in an small analog ameter with a 50 amp shunt resistor
Can see how charging hapening and how fast discharging

Ok, so why can't I disconnect power from the ups to stop it from charging, but it's still connected to the batteries and the external charger.
Then charge the batteries with the external charger with the ups still connected to the batteries. Will it do any damage to the ups, ups charger or batteries if I do this. If this works, the. I can have everything connected at the same time with external charger permanently connected and on.

KOPITE....your UPS is designed for two internal 12V 9Ah batteries...standard factory production.

Like I said before designed to charge MAX @ 2.2A........where does the 10A internal charger come in...

/Shakes head and walks away and prays people see what I am on about.

And that is not even the real issue....

That is just what I heard, I did not mean to offend you. I never knew it charges at 2.2amps

Can the ups charger really damage those big batteries. How can I check if the ups charger goes into trickle mode

What area you in (mantech should have)

Bateries can be damaged if charging too fast (need to check spec sheet of bateries)
Also if never gets charged to 100% (external charger will make sure it 100% full)
If bateries get discharged too far

I never take offense. Just cautioning you so you don't do stupid stuff and try crazy ****.

Electricity is a thing that never forgives....either leave it alone or do it right.

Dramatic = no. Magic smoke that has escaped cannot be forced back in.

KOPITE..all your lights working tonight? No blackouts expected?

I ask this for a reason.

You need to take that nice new charger I recommended and let it work on your batteries. You need to let it work for @ least 24 Hrs. No UPS. No load. Just the batteries and the charger. Can you do that now?
