Monitor resolutions compared

Its just a shame that most of today's screens are 16:9 and not 16:10.

I'd love to get 1920x1200 resolution screens for my work, but they're just so expensive... :(

I do hope OLED becomes commerical soon.
1920 X 1080 still looks big on a 24 inch screen.

I am also a fan of 16:10. But the 16:10 monitors is impossible to find.

I concur.

I had to do some time on a 1366x768 laptop last week and it was an irritating chore to really do anything. Who in the name of sanity decided on that as the default resolution. Really. It just sucks.

16:10 is brilliant... but expensive when found.

I have a T240 24" 1920x1200 and I wish I could buy another one. 1920x1200 is unfortunately is dead. Great pity.

They forgot to put in 1280x768.

I'm using an old 26" Philips LCD TV. It's a 16:10 AR with a Max Res of 1280x768.

I don't see the great need for a few extra pixels along the bottom. if it were that important you could just set your task bar to auto hide. I haven't measured but it probably accounts for that extra 120 pixels that are not available on full HD resolution.

Closer to 60 pixels. Plus auto hiding taskbars are annoying imo.

Very happy with my new Samsung 1920 x 1080 monitor. Was stuck on 1280 x 1024 for way too long!

I don't know what I am to do when my T260 leaves me for another life, I so dislike 16:9.

Didnt realise that 16:10 screens were THAT dead??

I still got my two T260's  and almost sold them the other day
