Wow, this should be good news for shareholders and employees! Given Telkom's long list of successful acquisitions in the past the good times are going to roll! Telkom Media, Multi-Links, Africa Online, I Way Africa, Telkom Mobile.

Remember kids - Its still the same bunch of clowns with a different ringmaster that are guaranteed to make a complete hash of anything they touch.
 
I find the description "mergers and acquisitions" problematic because Telkom isn't really acquiring anything and the acquisition of Telkom doesn't appear on the card. We are seeing unbundling, restructuring and outsourcing - although Telkom evidently haven't learnt how to speak of unbundling and the term outsourcing would upset the unions and restructuring possible the capital market ...
