Morne Stein got selected for the S14 and bulls on his ball handling and distributing skills, he developed his kicking game later.
The current Bok plan is to kick the ball MS is following the game plan, maybe wait for a game where the bigger plan is to run the ball instead of kicking it to judge him?
Ruan have a lot more experience and we have seen him in action quite a bit more, but in all honesty he never really stood out (part from recently where he seems to not be able to handle the pressure, in my opinion).
MS had a great first few games breaking a few records, while he is doing good why not stick with him? Ruan still is a great player to have on the bench and can substitute any position in the backline.

I also saw him being involved in some great runs (pieterson making the one break was the direct result of MS skipping jean dV).
What more do you want from a Flyhalf? He defends, dictates the game, and he converts pressure into points...... something RP failed to do.
This is big boy rugby lance not the 2nd teams of the local primary school derby that we are talking about.
At the moment MS is miles ahead of RP. Even the stats prove it

Yip, I am in agreement but Sand was implying only the result is important and in Sept last year, with Butch, an in your face aggressive running, hard tackling flyhalf, the exact opposite of Morne, at the helm we managed to beat Aus 53-8....

well, i didn't watch the bulls game [was @ oppikoppi
], but even if i watched and they lost, that wouldn't have mattered, as you don't win the currie cup in august!It is good for the bulls team to loose [a lot of youngsters in there now, and they need to learn the ropes]
as for butch, i was a big fan on him as well, and he was a good flyhalf.... you don't see us bitching and moaning about his tackling issues etc etc... we remember butch for being a awesome flyhalf when we needed him to be one...

ok, i prob misread the 29-17 score, and someone asked what the bulls did.... if thats not how you intended it.. sorry, but i do know of a few guys that do do that (Will say the Bulls scored all the points for the Springsboks, one guy even did his fb status as Bulls 29 - 17 Australia... i was piss'd off! fscking hate that)
