Mortal Kombat (reboot) 2021

Since Cyrax and Kabal is in this movie the reboot will be a total rewrite, and perhaps they may pursue to adapt the 'legend' told by NetherRealm. Expect the odd relationship here and there and the obvious sequel being set up.

Chin Han seems like a good fellow but everyone knows there's only one true Shang Tsung. Maybe Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa can make a cameo as a brief old Shang Tsung transformation.

I believe their Asian casting is rather good. The thing with Shang Tsung is that you can do a lot with how he is portrayed. No matter who is the main antogonist, Shang Tsung is pulling the strings because he wills it so, the typical enemy of my enemy is my friend type of character, he has no alliance for which the tournament is perfect for his island (and abode) to host. Yes, Tagawa is the embodiment of Shang Tsung, it will be a monumental task for Han to succeed.

Lol @ concept trailer. Know which MK stuff they're pulling all that from? Game cutscenes or something?

Anyone here watches or did watch Warrior, just want to know if it is any good? Joe Taslim who is cast as the 'original' Sub-Zero features in Warrior and I'm keen to give it a watch, but I don't want to be disappointed as I see the rating is rather high for this sort of series.

Anybody ever see this? A pitch for a ''real world'' take on the MK universe.

Where did the lore come from in this trailer. It's completely wrong :O
For instance, baraka is from outworld and not human at all. Dafuq is this.

As I said, it is a ''real world'' interpretation of MK.

Expect a new origin story. There is also a new character, and the sneak-peak surrounded this new character, Cole Young, who is a washed-up MMA champion. There are already theories who Young may be, but I am not going to spoil it, all I can say is that it would be good to watch the recent MK anime. However, introducing a new MK competitor in an already rich roster... Not much longer to go, apparently the trailer is around the corner.

Yep, produced by both NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive. It is a web series based on the video game series by NetherRealm.

You can also watch it on Steam,

Mortal Kombat: Legacy

Mortal Kombat: Legacy 2

A third series to accommodate Mortal Kombat 11 was also in the works, but it was never released hence it may be assumed as cancelled.

Hope it's a decent movie, and not all the best parts shown in the trailer kinda movie !

* Holds thumbs * !

Is it coming out in cinema or on netflix/showmax etc ?

I am a bit disappointed that Cage is removed, but this being a reboot...

Some are under the impression that Cole replaced Cage, but I don't think so, and I am almost certain who Cole will turn out to be. To skip Cage who is core to Earthrealm lore, a big move, but perhaps he will make a cameo...
Oh, I didn't even realise there were no cage and in that context it didn't bother me. Hopefully it is at least 'good' to better...
