You're fighting a losing battle in this thread. Apparently when it comes to Mortal Kombat, movies are not about the story but the fighting. Not sure what the point of the game is then...
 
They found people off the street and casted them. Especially Lu Kang. You should see the comments on the old MK movie torrent pages :ROFL:

I had to download and skim through the movie to get the bitter taste of the new movie out...

This kinda the problem I had with the movie.... it really wasnt cast very well. IMHO, of the Earth fighters, except for Kung Pow with his razor frisbee hat and chin of death, looked like they could actually fight themselves out of a paper bag. Cole was at his best a "light weight" or "fly weight" champion and its established he's well past his prime. Sonya gets her @55 handed to her by everybody she fights (right upto the "comeback" fight) Kano, at least looks like he'd fight dirty, Lui Kang looks like he's about 5 feet tall and constantly about to start crying about his 5hitty childhood and Raiden looks and acts like the "before" in a Viagra advert.
