Moto G

The 32GB/3GB version converts to around $ 225 thats about R3500 and some odds

Not bad if Orange can sell it around that price. but i really think that they missed a trick by offering so many variants.
It will be like R4500 minimum. Orange is English so you need to work on the UK price

The phone itself looks really good. I'd probably go for this over another Chinese brand. I've had the first and have the second gen and they're both very good

Same here. Mine is still using my 1GB Moto G3 and it is slow as molasses, looking for a 2GB but Orange has none at the moment.

I'm pretty tempted with the recently announced Vodafone Prime 7, might just get myself on and try it out.

I'm going to wait for the G4 plus 32GB/3GB

If the regular G4 is priced decently then i'll consider it for the missus -

Or if they still stock the G3 16GB/2GB RAM model for under R2800

we are both due... shes on a s3 mini and i'm on a s4 mini...

No other decent mid-rangers out there, maybe the Xiaomi note 3... IF we ever get it here officially.

And bare in mind that the xiaomi is probably going to be stuck on lollipop.

What is the moto G Lte worth these days?
SO just got an upgrade so need to get rid of this one.
Has original moto flip cover in purple and 2 extra rear covers - good condition and I think less than 2 years old

For the love of all that is good - do not buy the 8GB. Especially if it is for you missus. There very little performance difference between the 8GB and 16GB back in the old Lollipop days, now on Marshmallow it is a whole new ball game. The 8GB is toast. Buy the 16GB.

On a side note, when I have time I'll factory reset my wife's 8GB and see if that helps.

I've got a 8gb G3 and when the 6.0.1 update became available I did a factory reset first and did the update straight after initial setup. It is smooth like on KK only sometimes when opening an email straight from the notification screen there is a delay. That is the only hiccup it seems to have. Oh and battery life is slightly worse.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 would surprise you, it's got pretty much the same spec, it also looks like it is getting MIUI 8 which is based on Marshmallow.
