MotoGP 2020

So glad there's racing this Sunday! Going to need something to excite me before the snorefest that will be F1 at Monza.

Unseen: Binder's history-making Sunday
Re-live the MotoGP™ race from the team's point of view as Binder, KTM and South Africa all go down in the history books.

So proud of this guy. Very cool to have seen this video footage.

Yeah, saw that on the MotoGP.com website. Think the Rossi to SRT deal is all but done but will see. Ugh, the thought of seeing Dovi fannying about at the back of the field on an Aprilia just doesn't sit well. Would love to see him on the factory KTM bike next to Brad! What a pairing that would be.

Would KTM drop Pol given all the work and effort they have done together?

My sense is that it has been Pedrosa rather than Pol who has done the hard yards on the RC16. The very vocal Pol with his persecution complex gets all the column inches though.

I think it was Oxley who intimated that Ped’s low weight ensured all the bike’s shortcomings were exposed rather than being ridden around.

Interesting times in FP1. Normally the whole field is covered by a second or second and a half but this was a lot more spread out. Vinales first, more than half a second clear of Quartararo in second. Brad down in 13th more than a second and a half off the pace with Dovi right behind him. Miguel Oliveira bringing up the rear, 2.4 sec off the lead. Sure things will close up as the weekend progresses, but definitely not the 2020 script so far...

That's what makes the 2020 season so exciting. Like Curb Your Enthusiasm there is no script, it's all improvised..

Top 10 combined FP1 & FP2 times

Top 10 combined:
1. Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) – 1:32.189
2. Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) + 0.009
3. Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) + 0.178
4. Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) + 0.287
5. Iker Lecuona (Red Bull KTM Tech 3) + 0.486
6. Valentino Rossi (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) + 0.543
7. Danilo Petrucci (Ducati Team) + 0.636
8. Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) + 0.731
9. Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Tech 3) + 0.746
10. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) + 0.747

Yeah, qualifying hasn't been his strong suite this year and this track doesn't really suit the KTM (as evidenced by the fact not one made it straight through to Q2). Brad always has great race pace though, so a top 6 could be on tomorrow
