MotoGP 2022

This is one of the less engaging races

But at least Moto has many more different winners in a season
 
Longest warm up lap I’ve ever seen. When does the race start?

Definitely worth watching in future. Last year alone, there were 8 different winners while this year, 5 different riders already have stood on the top step. That's more than several years of F1 combined. F1 definitely has the glamour, but for sheer unpredictability, nothing beats MotoGP. A team can be on the podium one race, and then floundering near the outskirts of the Top20 the next. Just ask Miguel Oliveira.

And as for the lower classes! Well, you watch Moto3 from between your fingers while cowering behind your couch. Those okes are in-SANE!
 
Aleix Espargaro's podium means now that Aprilia lose all concessions. So no more extra testing (amongst other things). Credit to them though. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with now and definitely no longer MotoGp's whipping boys.

Bittersweet but I'm m sure they'd take the podium points. They really have built a very good bike and Aleix understands it well. Hopefully Mac can get in on the action

How bad are the other Yamaha riders this season... Fabio is basically doing it all on his own, can name any price and they'd have to give him
 
I’m actually happy that Aprillia is getting good results. It has been a tough few years for them but they stuck it out

It is unfortunately true, finances have bit hard. Formal statement will be made today. Decision came right from the top, the MotoGP operation were not even made aware until the last minute either. Even Livio Suppo, team boss, was blindsided.

The riders market has now been blown wide open. Pol and Maverick will be sweating for their futures with the two highly-rated Suzuki riders now available. Fabio's bargaining position with Yamaha also weakened and Franco too will be looking over his shoulder.

Darryn and/or Dovi may also be on the hot seat.

I'd even throw Miller's hat into that turmoil - riders market will be a bit of a circus for the rest of the year and every race is now a performance review

Its a mess up and down the grid come to think of it.

Miller was already on the bubble before this news breaks, but rumours were circulating that he had been in touch with LCR as both Taka and Alex are riding for their futures.

Jorge Martin's inability to stay on his bike could save Jack's seat for another season, though. Then you have Zarco, who may be under threat from The Beast.

Yeah this is insane! If anything, the riders you guys have listed above should now start to either produce some exemplary performances, or crack under the pressure of knowing they're potentially riding for their seats. As for the two Suzuki riders; I guess their decision to stay in MotoGP will be based on the quality of available seats? Right now, can you really see either of them floundering around at the back of the grid on that satellite Yamaha just so they can stay in MotoGP? I'm sure there will be interest in them from SBK too.

Interesting times. Would love to see Kawasaki or BMW enter the fray but they are so heavily invested in SBK that MotoGP is unlikely ever to happen.

Alex Rins either wins or bins it from here on out. He's that type of rider.

I think both Suzuki riders will stay in MotoGP. The consensus is Suzuki have the best rider pairing on the grid, they're both really good and will not struggle to find a seat. The rumour mill is stirring and has Mir moving to Repsol in place of Pol with Rins going to Aprilia (Maverick is already publically complaining about the bike) or Yamaha.

I would love to see Kawasaki back, but a year or two ago they said they were more than happy to be winning ''cheaply'' in WSBK than making up the numbers in MotoGP at a much higher cost. BMW would be terrible, like Aprilia early years terrible, as they barely put any effort in to their WSBK team as it is.

He hates his own career. He has burned every bridge he has ever crossed in the sport.

This time around he said he won't adjust his riding style and it is in Aprilia's best interests to stop building the bike around Aleix. I mean, after all Aleix and Aprilia have been through, how are you going to walk in and tell them to stop listening to Aleix?
