I'm hoping the new rules for 2026 will have this effect - but yes for this year its gonna be a bore if you're not invested in the Dukes

Ducati are just that good. Look at what the first round of the WSBK season looked like. They dominated that too.

And even scarier, they entered the world of Motocross this year.

Sadly the new rules only come into play in 2027 so its going to be a looong 2 years to wait
 
Another less than ideal qualy for Brad. Nice to see some mixing in the top - Honda, Yamaha, KTM in the top 12

Ugh, it's terrible to see. 16th vs Acosta who's right up there. Hopefully he can live up to his Mr Sunday moniker, but I fail to see how, barring massive retirements ahead of him, he's going to score meaningful points today and tomorrow.

It certainly looked premeditated but they didn’t stop the start, coz they got to their bikes and were lined up in pit lane, it was the resultant chaos though that caused the red flag
 
Ducati and Marquez dominance after 3 rounds. Another great ride by Ali Ogura and even Aldeguer (until he crashed). KTM just can’t seem to get it together and how out that Jack Miller - Top Yamaha

So a huge gamble from Marc and Pecco. Apparently the regulations state that if more than 10 riders leave the grid before the start, then the start is aborted and reformed with no penalty. They were banking on several riders following them off the grid which duly happened.
 
I only caught the highlights on YT this morning. What happened to Brad?

Also, Alex Marquez leading the championship...

Yeah, was disappointing to see him drop out. There didn't appear to be any concrete update but it was some sort of mechanical issue. He was running comfortably 5th and then, out.

Done some Googling. Looks like an electrical issue.

“A chaotic start! Nobody knew what was going on but when the race did start I got away really well and fought with the guys earlier on. I took my time to see where I could push with the wet patches on the track and after about half-race distance I felt I could push-on. I moved up another position but then we had an electrical issue and had to stop. Really unfortunately because we would have been guaranteed a top five. But, anyway, from yesterday to today we made an important step forward and the bike was a lot more how I wanted it, so hats-off to my team.”

hope someone can take on the Ducatis at some point ... maybe Martin can show what the Aprilia can really do?

Honda and Yamaha both took big steps forward, but they were so far behind it'll take another step to fight for wins, KTM seems to have stalled or even gone backwards a bit in competitiveness

Martin probably needs 2-3 races to be back up to speed but it was exciting seeing Honda and Yamaha threaten the last few races. KTM definitely have taken a few steps backwards
