Hi guys

Im using Quarx CM10 Nightly Jellybean 4.1.1

So far, not bad at all, iv had a couple issues, none major tho, might not even be related to the custom rom itself.

Issues iv had:

The scrolling of menu's and homescreens just suddenly becomes laggy and have to restart phone to smooth it out, ( this doesnt happen very often tho, maybe once a week)

My 3g/H shows its connected but there is no transfer of data, (not sure if it network related or on the rom?, it used to happen on the stock build but not as much as on this rom).

Other than these everything else is minor, sum bugs here and there but nothing that has affected the running of the rom, very smooth and fast, good touch response.

All in all pretty decent..

What roms, have/are u used/using? ur experiences/problems?

Any suggestions of other good roms to use..

I think this will be a good thread to keep updated, seeing as the defy didnt even get a official gingerbread release.

Hi there
I'm using Quarx CM10 Nightly Jellybean 4.1.1 25/08 and see there is a 28/08 already .. I've been flashing this Rom since early August and its great, but like you say some minor issues.

Don't know if this will help but this is my experience (sorry if I'm listing stuff you already know)

Using Apex launcher has made a bit of a difference from the default trebuchet.
Also, long pressing the home button brings up the open apps. The more of them you have open the slower the response. Just swipe them away to clear some memory.
I got the no data thing more using wifi which was a lot better than what I got on 7.2, but just today found out about system settings> wifi > menu> advanced options> and unticking Avoid poor connections
The baseband selection (Settings, Advanced) that works best for me on vodacom is : Europe, Central Europe, 3.4.2-145.

Yah, that's it.

Cool thanks changed my baseband now to check for a difference... The Apex Launcher u refering to, how do i change to that from the default Trebuchet?

Interested to see how it performs compared to the default.. What noticeable differences have u seen?

Just my impressions.

All Launchers are pretty much the same for me. I love it for a 5-7 days :)) It just seems snappier ...
Download Apex and open it ... once you hit the home button it should ask whether you want to open "home" with Trebuchet or Apex .. Once or Always .. and I just selected always. But you can always uninstall Apex. People on XDA also seem to like Holo Launcher too.

I've reverted to CM7.2 as the phone is going to my mother in law and I want it stable.
