So I am trying to copy all my data from Huawei P30 Pro to an iPhone but I just can't get the devices to connect.

I have tried all the tips online from turning on Airplane mode and just connecting WiFi, restarting phone, removing sim etc but I always get the error:

"The transfer was interrupted. Do not switch to other apps or turn off this device until the transfer is complete"

I would understand getting that error if it was interrupted during the copy process but this error comes after I enter the code shown on iOS device.

Has anyone actually got this app to work or if not can you recommend a free app that can do it please? Mainly care about my contacts and messages as all my photos are backed up using Google Photos.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I have downloaded the Move to iOS app on Android device and from fresh start on iPhone where you have options to restore from icloud etc I have selected "Move Data from Android" - get given the 6 digit code and enter it on the android device then a few seconds later I get the error.

Have you tried to use Phone Clone from Hauwei? Your P30 Pro should have it built-in but for your iPhone here’s the App Store link: https://apps.apple.com/za/app/phone-clone/id920728033

I know that it is a great to transfer stuff from iPhone to Huawei but I have not tried going the other way yet, maybe this app can help you though.

I didn’t transfer any data between the devices directly, all I did was backup my stuff to Google Drive from the P Titty Pro and then synced on iPhone. I wanted it to be a mostly fresh start.

Been using the 2 phones in parallel since getting the iPhone.
 
What are you trying to move exactly?

Contacts and Calendar and **** you can just sync with your Google account.

Throw the message and crap away.
