The Lion King (2019) - 8/10

This movie violates the Law of Averages (which states that every Disney remake is decidely average) by being faithful to the original, almost to a fault.

It's 98% the original, plus 2% modernization - nothing particularly bad though.

Visually it's without doubt the best live-action film out there and in some scenes actually looks more realistic than real life. It's incredible.

It's not all rainbows and bunnies though, the singing just isn't on the level of the original and the new song just can't hold up to Rice/John standards, but it's a minor gripe.

You predicted time travel and Thor killing Thanos without a second thought, becoming fat and useless? You predicted the world would be saved by a rat? You predicted Cap going back and living out his life, Iron Man dying and the kid who helped him in the snow being at his funeral?

Krikey.

Any tips on the stock market?

This. Nothing about Endgame was remotely predictable. In very broad strokes you could predict that they would somehow manage to undo what Thanos had done by the end, but that's about it.

Hobbes & Shaw (2019) - 6/10

The way these films are going I won't be surprised if there's time travel or even Scooby Doo in the next one.

Prisoners (2013)

A gripping drama of a father trying to find his daughter (and her friend) that was abducted. Fantastic performance by Jake Gyllenhaal. 7.5/10

John Wick 3 - 8 / 10

Just because Halle Berry and the dogs.

Godzilla King of the Monsters 4 / 10

Way overboard. Like being on acid.

The Hustle 6 / 10

I lol'd a few times. Extra star for Anne looking so damn hot.

Bridesmaids (2011) 7.5/10. Very funny Judd Apatow comedy with a team of women.

Godzilla (2019) 6/11

The Monsters were awesome, the real people actors not so much.

Rocketman (2019) 7/10

Not the biggest Elton John fan but this bio film was a rather good watch. Well-told & engaging. Taron Egerton is excellent.
