Breakout (2013) 4/10

Pretty much a B-grade Canadian suspense action movie with a number of washed out stars; some of which I like. I'm thinking of Lincoln from Prison Break & Randy from My Name is Earl.

This is what I recently watched - I do not know how old they are but here:
You're Next - 4/5
Transit - 4/5
The November Man - 4/5
Animal - 3/5
Isolated - 5/5
Odd Thomas - 4/5
Tracers - 4/5

Blackhat (2015) 7/10

"A furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta." Interesting & smart wrt to cyber crime. Slight con is the long running time.

Here are some more I have watched recently and this time out of 10:

The Prince - Typical Taken plot (Daughter of a notorious x special agent got kidnapped by a drug lord) - 6/10

Sabotage - Arnold Schwarzenegger is leader of special forces and after drug syndicate bust his members starts dropping like flies. - 8/10

After the ball - A good Sunday movie of a young clothing designer that need to get past her evil step mom's plans to kick her out from her dad's successful designer company and 'hand' the business to her own 2 daughters - 7/10

In the name of the king - I love adventure and this is associated with Dungeon Siege - Very disappointing for me and I did not enjoy the dialogue or the fighting scenes. To top it off - one of my favourite actors, Jason Statham, plays the lead role. The story is fine. - 4/10

The Prince was an above average action watch with that Speed 2 star Jason Patric.

Remember Speed 2...?! I would rather not.

Arnie fan here & that was a good watch.

Haven't seen that Dungeon Siege movie but it has a score of 3.8 on IMDB...yikes

The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared (2013) 6.5/10

"After living a long and colorful life, Allan Karlsson finds himself stuck in a nursing home. On his 100th birthday, he leaps out a window and begins an unexpected journey." Funny & humorous black comedy.

I actually do. The first Speed was awesome - it was unique and different at the time. Not keen on watching a second or third of the same title, but I did watch Speed 2 and the feeling is mutual.
Exceptions would be Terminator and Underworld for me. I am sure there are more, but Home Alone was not one of them. :-)

Taste differ, but I have never (except for 'The Thin Red Line') not finished watching a movie. I even sat through Highlander End Game (The first one with Christopher Lambert was good though), but in all honesty I stopped watching where they went into the forest on their quest and then had their first encounter...I love Dungeon Siege, Adventure movies - but this is not worth the time watching.

Speed 2 was a lot of fun. Nowhere close to Speed but still a movie I watch once in a blue moon.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014) 6.5/10

"Jack Ryan, as a young covert CIA analyst, uncovers a Russian plot to crash the U.S. economy with a terrorist attack." Not bad; good level of action. Not convinced as Chris Pine as the role of Jack Ryan though.

A nightmare on elm street (1984)
Yep a vintage 7/10 just from a nostalgia PoV .. Johnny Depp was still a baby!

A decent remake is overdue (2010 was crap)!

Maps to the Stars (2014) 6/10

"A tour into the heart of a Hollywood family chasing celebrity, one another and the relentless ghosts of their pasts." Starts off confusing & gets a notch interesting. There is a scene in there that when watching you think you are watching pron.

Repentance (2014) 6/10

"A successful author and spiritual advisor takes on a troubled man as a client, completely unaware that the man's fixation on his mother's death will soon put his life in jeopardy." Slightly lame thriller. Also hard to get over the fact that big bad Forest Whitaker is called Angel.

Oblivion (2013) 6.5/10

Never watched this SciFi post-apocalyptic action movie previously but found it a fair bit enjoyable; the story in particular. I still think Cruise's other movie <Edge of Tomorrow> (2014) was a notch better.

Spring (2014)

Great riff on the romantic genre, bringing in some science fiction and horror. Reminded me of a twisted Before Sunrise
