Spare Parts (2015) 6.5/10

"A group of four Carl Hayden High School students win first place over M.I.T. in a 2004 national robotics competition. The team had only $800 and used car parts but won the competition over several highly funded university teams. All four students were illegal immigrants from Mexico." One of those underdog stories. George Lopez in a serious role. <McFarland, USA> (2015) that also dealt with the underdogs thriving was better.

Spring (2014) 7/10

This was an unusual one. A love-horror if you well. Rather well done; expected the ending to be better though. The lead chickie; who hails from Germany; is a looker

Lucy.....9/10.

Watched it again last night. One of the strangest, oddest movie I have seen.
But highly entertaining and thought provoking.
Scarlet is great as ever.
Signature action styles from director Luc Besson.
Again I finished the movie thinking....what if we could use more of our brain capacity???

For my Lucy had a fair number of similarities with <Limitless> (2011)

Best scene was ScaJo's monologue after she knife pins that Japanese dude. What a babe.

The Prestige (2006) 8.5/10

Can't believe I never watched this one sooner. It's bloody brilliant; Chris Nolan in top form. Every element of this movie is of superb quality. That one-upmanship between Bale & Jackman is memorizing.

Yeah, it's great. I need to watch it again. Also want to read the book, actually. By Christopher Priest.

Here are some more I have watched recently and this time out of 10:

The Prince - Typical Taken plot (Daughter of a notorious x special agent got kidnapped by a drug lord) - 6/10

Sabotage - Arnold Schwarzenegger is leader of special forces and after drug syndicate bust his members starts dropping like flies. - 8/10

After the ball - A good Sunday movie of a young clothing designer that need to get past her evil step mom's plans to kick her out from her dad's successful designer company and 'hand' the business to her own 2 daughters - 7/10

In the name of the king - I love adventure and this is associated with Dungeon Siege - Very disappointing for me and I did not enjoy the dialogue or the fighting scenes. To top it off - one of my favourite actors, Jason Statham, plays the lead role. The story is fine. - 4/10
