Pan (2015) 6/10

"12-year-old orphan Peter is spirited away to the magical world of Neverland, where he finds both fun and danger, and ultimately discovers his destiny -- to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan." Average action fantasy; running time of almost 2hrs is too long; not Hugh Jackman's best performance.

The Little Prince : 6.7/10

I would've preferred that it had ended where the book did.

Yeah, if you cut out all the 'original book' parts of that movie and stitched them into one single episode, even if it was say 30min long like The Gruffalo adaptations, it would have been brilliant.

The Book Thief - 7/10. Haven't finished yet, good production values but story is maudlin and emotionally manipulative.

The Revenant -8/10

Difficult to crit without giving too much away, but what I can say is it should be a shoe-in for Best Cinematography.

Apart from that you may need to suspend your disbelief for a few hours.

Edit: - this just has to be watched in the cinema.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 7/10. BB8 is cute. Was expecting a full dialogue scene between him and R2. :D

The Visit (2015) - 4/10

M. Night Shyamalan should rather retire.

Don't usually do anything less that HD, but .... Hateful Eight 8.5 / 10

Jennifer Jason Leigh is my favourite character. Tarantino still got it.
