Managed to get round to watching Batman Begins last night, no idea why it took me so long to watch it. I have seen the others. Excellent film and I wish the 3rd film would have been as good. 8/10.

Watched The Revenant last night. Jirre, what a tour de force!!

9/10

This movie does however deserve a thread of it's own. There are many points to discuss, but that would mean spoilers galore.

Anyone here watched Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter?

I did, I think I would give it a 7. It's pretty bleak.

Force Awakens - 8.5/10. Just judged as an action movie without the whole baggage of Star Wars, it's a terrific film but I feel it was a bit too fast-paced and it had slowed down to give time to develop the new characters. But it seemed like everyone was giving it full effort including particularly Harrison Ford. Special effects were spectacular with a sense of scale that managed to surprise many times, and a real-ness to all of the CGI, like the light sabers and the tie-fighter vs x-wing dogfights.

How was the copy you watched? Good?

His copy would have been the same as anyone else's who watched this at home. A normal DVDScreener.

If you are into 720p and 1080p quality, wait another month and a week and go watch it in the cines.

No thanks. Overpriced and inconsiderate environment. People eating, farting, talking and using cell phones. I rather watch at home.

No teenagers at MQ's place...cool, invite us over to watch, please.

I request permission to fart occasionally...popcorn gives me gas (sorry, man).

The Hateful Eight - 7/10 ....... very drawn out but it had some excellent scenes.

The Revenant - 9/10 ...... wow, what a hard hitting and vicious drama. A touch too long as well but I didn't mind it. Have to admire Di Caprio, he can act.

Kingsman: Secret Service - 7/10. Pleasantly surprised by the film especially since I didn't like the trailer. Fight scenes could've been edited better.

The ongoing joke about Di Caprio not having an Oscar yet is very well founded. Whatever the reasons are, whether it be bad luck at competing films (Like the Dallas buyer's club year) or some weird hidden politics that we don't know about. Di Caprio is really long past earning his Oscar.

I loved this movie too. I think the fight scenes were edited that way to disguise the lack of physical prowess of the actors. Most other films get their actors to go through major training, in order to pull off fight scenes. I don't think that Kingsman had that luxury.

You're more than welcome...that is if you're coming down to CT for the holidays. My kids are in bed by 8pm. We eat tons of popcorn...this may also be the reason for my wife's farting!?!?! Thanks for that bit of medical info....

Watching that tonight. Hoping for the same class and quality as Django Unchained. Then again I seriously doubt that Tarantino can make a bad movie....

Bittersweet news.

Other Oscar contenders made available online illegally in the past few days include Jennifer Lawrence’s “Joy,” Michael Fassbender’s “Steve Jobs,” Cate Blanchett’s “Carol,” Brie Larson’s “Room,” Tom Hardy’s “Legend,” Chris Hemsworth’s “In the Heart of the Sea” and Saoirse Ronan’s “Brooklyn.”

Looks like I missed a few...will be right back. Thanks for the info......
