Dead Man Down 6.5/10

A surprising good thriller/action with Colin Farrell

Monster University 7.5/10.
Really enjoyed it. Added some value to the sequel as well in my opinion. Good entertainment.

Star Trek: Into Darkness - 7/10 really enjoyed it on big screen.

A Good Day To Die Hard - 0/10 load of rubbish. The unbelievable car chase scene . . . :wtf:

Hansel & Gretal: Witch Hunters - 5/10 good action scenes and scary witches :D

Now You See Me

Just an insanely great entertaining movie! Great acting and fun to watch!

9.5/10

No offence, but if you are rating a movie you watched a CAM copy of at 9.5, then we really can't take your ratings seriously. Not even some of the best movies out there are rated that high.

e.g The Shawshank Redemption (9.3)

This will depend on the reviewer should it be a critic, Average Joe or Plain Jane. Look here at the IMDB user reviews, some human characters really liked this movie.

Now now, this could also depend on the metric used for rating the movie- if it is rated purely on entertainment value, 9.5/10 seems fair enough.

Man of Steel: 10/10

Yes, this may seem ridiculous and overly biased, but I do not care. It was that good for me. Solid acting, fluid storyline, appreciable dialogue and character chemistry, and at no point did it feel the full 2+ hours that it spanned. The cataclysmic battles and un-Superman-like ending were actually highlights to me.

My best spoiler-free summation: this is not a "Superman" movie.

Man of Steel - 9.5/10
Fantastic movie, fantastic storyline, fantastic special effects and fantastic acting by every cast member. My favorite character was Faora, I loved her dialogs and actions scenes. The best action and special effects scene for me was when Superman fought Faora and the other tall dude in Smallville. I did feel that the movie tried to be humorous at times but it didn't work. There was also a time I felt like the music was too repetitive and the special effects were a bit overdone. Otherwise it was well worth my money and I will watch it again.

Star Trek: Into the Darkness - 7/10
I'm not Star Trek fan and I didn't watch the first one (I didn't even know there was a first one) but I enjoyed the movie non-the-less.

Fast and the Furious 6 - 3.5/10
I felt insulted watching the movie. Good humor though almost throughout.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre - 8/10
I love horror flicks, and I loved this one. This time the movie was scripted in such a way that the audience should feel sorry for the Texas Chainsaw guy.

Silent Hill - 6/10
Good thriller, good storyline but I just didn't get close to being scared.

Olympus has fallen

Just watched this. OMG what a load of rubbish.
I'd give it a 3/10
Pathetic acting. The army are make out to look so incompetent.

I'm surprised Morgan Freeman acted in this junk.

Haha just watched it now as well. The entire army did sweet f-all but one guy could take down everyone :D

Decent action flick for a Friday I think, not meant to be taken seriously.

Lol i see they are advertising a similar movie called white house down which looks really bad

White House Down - 6.5/10

Probably one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in years and will definitely watch it again. Lots of it is full of epic LOLs but quite serious as well. I almost died laughing when my friend leaned over halfway to tell me that the main bad guy has no eye brows :D :D

Good action film. It loses points for being predictable and the bit at the end with the kid was just a bit of a meh moment.

Compared to Olympus Has Fallen? I think it is better (read: more entertaining) but OHF is definitely way more serious. The way the White House is taken in this film is more plausible though.

...and Jamie Fox is an awesome president ;)

EDIT: you should take these films for what they are. You know up front it is going to be a skop, skiet and donner movie with no Academy nominations.
