Moving from Afrihost. Axxess or Mweb?

Really not a constructive post mate, did you not read his question?

He wants to know all the details (Reliability, shaping, Latency, Downtime etc.) from your ISP, now you're clearly just venting in his topic about your bad experience with your Previous ISP.

But come on, do some good and give him what he asked for.
 
i reckon mweb, they seem to be better covered when cables drown

Sorry Tweak never used Afrihost. Just giving feedback based on the forums...

Anyone from Axxess? Is it possible to get 100GB a month? That's my average
 
I am cancelling Afri*** and going to Mweb.

I have downloaded less than 7 GB this month and yesterday I started downloading a 4GB file on my 384kbps line and because of this new hour based usage thing this morning at 7am the download was dead.
 
I am on the same 'page'

Cancelled Afrihost, the new policy is just retarded.

If they call 60 gig per month heavy, then the UNCAPPED is not for me.

So you okes recon Mweb over Axxess then?
 
yeah definitely looks like the way to go.
Unless someone can tell me what Axxess "not for heavy downloading" actually means. Doesn't that sentence defeat the purpose of "uncapped".

To me Heavy Downloading is 500 gig plus per month.

But they might not see it that way....

Im currently on axxess 512 1gb light unshaped.If gaming is your thing and u need the drop in latency ull get about a 200ms drop is latency which is great and another 50-100 if you fix the reg edit for packets being sent.In terms of downloads mweb is great as I have a 512 uncapped mweb account.Sadly there is no combo for both gaming and dl at a decent price so unfortunately you must decide and or pay abit more for the privaledge of both.Only bad thing about mweb is they throttle you quite intensely during the day.Post 9 oclock very decent dl speeds but prior to that specially depending on your area and distance from exchange dl speeds are bad.I work on the 10% 10% rule.Yould get 10% of the speed in non office hours ie 4mb=400kbs at best and during peak 10% of that ie 40kbs.This question cannot be answered straight unless you decide what your main prio is.Games=unshaped axxess.DL=mweb uncapped.Hope this helped a tad

It means that axxess do not have the bandwidth capactiy for heavy downloads.Ie youve bought the account not for browsing or games but sitting on rapidshare and torrents giving it plenty.They dont have the capactiy to do so.Theyre a more specialised ISP ie theyre generally an addon ISP.1Gb unshaped=great.Uncapped axxess=**** as theyl throttle u more intensely than mweb as they dont have as much bandwidth.Remember mweb bought almost 60-65% of the Seacoms bandwidth at time of release and this was done in 48hours.Over 100x south africas bandwidth at the time hence why they were first with uncapped products for cheap as they generally cornered the market.Mweb for downloads as it seems thats what ur looking for.Theyll throttle you but they have the capacity that when its not busy ull get great speeds.
