Can you not downgrade with MWEB to a 1gb capped and pay pro rata for your usage allowing you to switch instantly? That used to be a thing at least, highly considering it myself if it is.

Why am I able to watch youtube vids without lagging at these slow download speeds ?
BTW, this is a 2mbps line. CW has applied for a 4mbps line on the 1st of August -- still waiting....

YouTube is one of the most heavily optimized sites when it comes to streaming, site like Netflix often use double the bandwidth for HD.

Never had this with mweb.

Also CW applied for upgrade to 4mb dsl the 1st of August -- still nothing. How long does Telkom take with these upgrades?

You can leave the line with CW and use mweb no problem.

Click start, run, type cmd, then in the command prompt screen, type:

tracert www.crystalweb.co.za

When it's finished, right click and mark, select area and press enter, then paste (control v) result here.

Mine looks like this:
