So I moved into this apartment on the 1st of May. Hasn't been occupied for about 3 months. I plugged in my router and the Internet works. Lekker 20/20Mbps with Vumatel and BitCo Home (according to mybroadband Speedtest).

Owner says he doesn't have the former apartment tenant contacts.

My bond registered last Friday and this morning, I got an SMS from Vuma this morning saying:

Hi there, we noticed you have Vuma Fibre Core installed in your home, but do not have an active service. If you would like to place an order to have your line activated, simply reply YES and a Vuma representative will contact you. Reply NO to opt out. JHB.

So how do I move this to my name? Should I move it or enjoy some free internet? Is this fraud?

Previous owner might have paid for a year in advance.

Karma and all that, best just contact them, tell them it it working you just need it transferred to your name and refund the previous owner is needed.

If it was Vodacom, I would say use it till they cut you, because a simple call to them might leave you weeks without internet...
