Getting married on 11 Jan, and Im moving into a place on 01 Jan to try and get things setup a bit.

I dont have much at the moment, so Im trying to put a list together of what Im doing to need. At the moment Im thinking only what is a NEED. Like, I have a bed, but I need two bedside tables (and two bedside lights!) so I have added those to the list.

Im sure there are plenty that we can live without for now, but somethings are a must I just cant seem to put my mind to what they would be?

This is what we have

Bed
TV unit (with TV)
Desk (with computer)
Tumble Dryer
Dishwasher (NEED :))
Fridge
Various Kitchen smalls

NEED :

bedside tables
bedside lights
washing machine

What else?

microwave ?

think you have a surround system right

and il wait until january for the hey im getting married 11th jan ..what do i need for the night thread :p

Ah yes I have a microwave, and of course my sound system lol :)

Fortunately not gonna need advice on that topic... ;)

Do not go out and buy loads of stuff, move in and then when you realize you need something badly, only then go and buy it.

A lounge suite ? Dining-room table & chairs ?

BTW, do not purchase any of this stuff without SO's opinion / permission !!

We dont have a lounge suite and a dining room table + chairs...

Flip, this is going to be expensive...

dining table and chairs is FAR from a necessity. You can always eat without them. On the couch, in front of the telly, as God intended... :D

Vacuum cleaner and/or any other cleaning equipment. Otherwise you don't really need a dining table and lounge pieces and all those other bits of furniture. Like the others have said, move in first and then see what you need.

Got the vacuum cleaner, someone acutally gave us one :) Gonna have to buy all the other cleaning goodies though... :erm:

Im thinking of making a headboard myself... How hard can it be?

two pieces of vertical wood, with a wide horizontal board. stick on some foam or something, and cover it in pleather?

No idea where I would get all that kind of stuff though... lol

Your wife should be sorting this out.

You're just going to fsck this up like you usually do, and she's going to have to do every thing herself as per usual.
She always has to think for you. Rather just try to fsking listen to her and do what she says.

Write it fsjking down so she doesn't have to keep fsking repeating herself and try to make yourself fscking useful..
