moving into a place - what do I need?

Lets have a picture of the wife-to-be to see if you've done well for yourself techhead :)
 
Don't buy stuff till after the house warming and the wedding ;)
 
I can't believe no one has mentioned a coffee machine! (edit - ah now I see there was one... )but a kettle at the very least!

or a toaster (although for years I used the grill on my oven and then my microwave's grill in its place...)

and a solardom / equivalent instead of a microwave - saves plenty electricity *down Eskom down*

people generally buy you the small stuff

bext to wait till after the wedding for that
 
rather make do with what you have and save up for some good quality ish, then buy things you dont like.
 
Over a year ago moved into new place, just paid off my mothers house and couldn't take anything I owned because that would have left her in an empty house. Naturally the first thing I bought was a 51" TV and eventually moved in with a bed, fridge, microwave, washing machine, couch, surround sound, toaster, kettle, kitchen utensils... I was patient and managed to save thousands on sales etc. Must have costed me almost 100k to date and my house is still pretty much empty...

Try not to rush it get the essentials then buy when needed or when specials hit the stores after the season...

As much as I would love to show her off, I don't think she would appreciate it :) She has long brown hair, green eyes, and she is short. She is a petite girl. Just my flavour ;)
 
I don't see play station, Xbox and wii on that list. You need all 3.

two pieces of vertical wood, with a wide horizontal board. stick on some foam or something, and cover it in pleather?

Not sure what type of people you are but you really can do a lot of DIY!
